Drugs don't reduce mortality

The following is true of traditional drugs.  As of 2022, there are new drugs which seem to be effective and have fewer side effects.  However, it's possible that the benefit was all or primarily from the weight loss that the drugs promote, and if you're already at a healthy weight, the drugs might be ineffective.  As one study said, "It is uncertain whether our findings are applicable to individuals with type 2 diabetes who are not overweight or obese."
